The Sea Dreams Soother™ offers Drift Off™, a feature which slowly dims sounds and lights in 10-minute increments as baby slowly drifts off to sleep. A convenient remote allows parents to control the soother from up to 15 feet away and not disturb baby. The soother also features the Perfect Fit Universal Crib Attachment™ which allows the soother to attach to most crib rails with approximate circumference of 10.5" or can be used bedside.
Sail Away to Dream Land...
Inspired by the way infants seem to be mesmerized by the lights and movements of aquariums, I decided to design a Baby Einstein version that could be attached to a crib to soothe babies and help them drift off to sleep. To add more visual interest and a bit of realism, I created a layered effect by sculpting 3D plastic characters if front of a photo real image of the ocean floor and covering them with printed seaweed for animals to peek-a-boo behind. Finally, I knew the realistic water lighting effect was the key feature for this product to be successful, so we experimented a lot until it was perfect.
