Come Sail Away with Me...
Another one of my first projects when I joined Kids II was redesigning the best selling Neptune Ocean Discovery Gym. The original product had become increasingly more expensive as plastic and freight costs rose, so I was tasked with refreshing and cost reducing the gym. The final design ended up being even more successful than the previous version. I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that I intentionally designed the gym with a bold main focal point...the Orca. Later, we discovered that a lot of parents didn't know the actual name of the gym, but they specifically asked for the one with the black and white whale. That is how we stood out from the competition and created something memorable.

Lots of fun interactive toys
When it comes to designing for a play gym, the goal is to always create as many unique toys with interactive play patterns as possible. In addition, I always try to include age-appropriate, tried, and true features, such as mirrors, rattles, teethers, and spinners, with every platform.
